Types of Contractor- & Commercial-Grade Water Hose Products
Industrial water hose is primarily constructed of a single jacket, making it more flexible for use in and around warehouses and manufacturing’ facilities.
Commercial-grade water hoses can also be lined with a thin-walled, extruded tube of rubber or another elastomer material bonded to the inside of the hose. This prevents water from seeping through the hose jacket, which surrounds the tube to protect it. While industrial water hose is designed for heavy-duty factory and warehouse environments, many of these same hose constructions are also suitable for commercial use, including washdown, landscaping, and general facility maintenance.
Contractor-grade water hose can also be extruded and bonded to an inner liner by virtue of a laminating process. This hose is becoming more popular in manufacturing settings because it can withstand aggressive abrasion and may be stored while still wet without being subject to mold and mildew. Because of its durability and resistance to abrasion and moisture, contractor-grade hose is also a practical choice for many commercial water hose applications.
